Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Twilio.
Sales
The recruiter wasn't attentive and seemed disengaged, as if forced to be there. They constantly interrupted, leaving no room for my questions. I received no feedback or even a basic notification about the decision, and was ghosted. If this is how they treat candidates, I can only imagine the employee experience.
- Could you tell me what you know about our company?
- Why are you interested in Twilio?
- Can you answer some standard STAR method questions?
Sales Representative
It was a multi-stage interview process that involved speaking with various service and geographic leaders within the company. The conversations covered my past work, how I handle different situations, and if I'd fit the company culture. Honestly, everyone I met was super nice, and the whole thing went really smoothly.
- Could you describe your approach to managing your schedule and planning your sales outreach?
Sales
This job opportunity was pretty easy to get due to their recent difficulties. They pushed me through the process quite fast. I ended up declining their offer and seeking other roles. The people were pleasant though. I believe their hiring process used to be more stringent, but in my view, it isn't as rigorous anymore.
