First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Twigs Bistro.
General Manager
After an initial HR screening, you'll meet with the regional manager. The final interview will be with either the CEO or the second-in-command. They're really looking for restaurant knowledge and confidence, and they especially like to see your ability to build a team.
- Given a particular scenario, what would be your course of action?
- How would you respond if faced with situation X?
- Describe your approach to managing situation Y.
Support Staff
I applied online and then had to fill out the same application in person for two interviews. Both managers asked me the same questions, and I felt they weren't prepared either time. I didn't get a call back until I interviewed at a different location with a different manager, and then I got hired.
- Could you describe your availability?
- What kind of hours can you work?
- When are you free to work?
Human Resources
The interview process was really fast, with only 3 steps, and the management was great. The last interview involved a presentation, and I had enough time to prepare and present to an audience that was really engaged. The role was described very transparently, and it turned out to be exactly what I ended up doing.
- Can you tell me about your experience in this field?
Support Staff
I had a one on one interview with the managers. They asked me questions about customer service, my experience, my attitude, how I would deal with unhappy customers, and my POS knowledge. After the interview, they let me know via call or email. If hired, I would train for multiple positions.
- How do you handle a challenging customer?
