I applied for the Senior Product Developer position. The recruiter informed me that I was considered underqualified for that role and offered me the Product Developer position instead, which has a lower title and pay band, despite my background being suitable for similar titles elsewhere. While the recruiter was nice and the conversation was smooth, if they intended to offer a different role, it would have been more efficient to communicate this via email rather than schedule a call.

It was a two stage interview. First was a face to face at the office in Central London with the Product development manager and another lady. Second was a zoom meeting with the SVP of development and Global Compliance Director. First interview was great, the initial interviewers had a great energy, asked good questions and positive overall. The energy of the second was very cold, seemed more about proving you wrong/finding faults. Not personable at all.

The hiring process is pretty quick because they're expanding and need people fast. You'll start with an HR screening, then there are two more rounds. One is with the MD, and the other is with the team. If it goes well, there's a good chance you'll get an offer, but you'll need to relocate to NYC.

There were two interviews, one in person and one over Zoom, both scheduled on short notice. The first interviewers were nice and asked typical questions. The second set of interviewers were cold and confirmed negative reviews I'd seen.
