Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tutoring Club.
Tutor
The interview process was pretty chill. They asked about previous experience and have a standard test for all tutors. The whole process took about a week and a half.
- Can you tell me about your experience working with children and the age groups you've worked with?
Tutor
First, I got a call asking for references, then an interview was scheduled. It was a casual 1:1 interview. They wanted to get some info, talk about the company's goals and teaching strategy, and figure out a commitment term. They asked about my past tutoring work, any times I've helped people without pay, and if I could teach math and science as well as reading and writing.
- Tell me about your past teaching experiences.
Tutor
It was very casual, the director and I sat down, and he asked me about myself and my experience. He was very kind and showed immense care for the business and the students, ensuring the tutors he hired are experienced enough and passionate about helping. I have not received an offer yet, as I just did the interview and he said he would get back to me.
- I was asked to do some assessments for subjects like Algebra, Biology, and Chemistry.
