Claims Adjuster
Turo has a few interviews: first HR, then a manager interview by phone. If you pass those, you come in for 4 more in-person interviews that are 2 hours long or more.

Claims Adjuster
The interview process is pretty long, but it's chill and easygoing. You start with a phone call from the recruiter, then a call with the manager. If you make it past those, they'll send you three claims to handle and send back. After that, they set up an in-person interview that lasts about three hours. If you get through that, they'll ask for your references, and then you'll hear if you got the offer. It was surprising to get such standard, old-school questions from a company that seems so forward-thinking, but most people can answer them in a way that shows they fit the job. The case studies are a fresh and effective way to showcase your abilities! Everyone is super laid-back and enjoyable to chat with!
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a supervisor and describe the outcome?
- How would your friends describe you: as someone who would give a wedding toast, assist after an accident, become a librarian, or participate in team sports?
- What is your understanding of Turo?
Claims Adjuster
The interview process began with an initial phone screening by the recruiter. Following that, I had a conversation with a Claims Manager who asked more detailed questions, using the STAR/BBI method. Next, I was given 3 case studies to complete. Once I submitted my case studies, I had an in-person interview, which was conducted over Zoom since I am located out of state. The final interview stage involved speaking with two current claims employees, a cross-team employee to assess my fit with the company culture, tackling a more in-depth case study, and a brief chat with the hiring manager. I had my final interview a few days ago and am now awaiting a decision on whether I will receive an offer! They take their hiring process very seriously, aiming to hire the best candidates who will fit into their office culture.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to deliver exceptional customer service?
