Content Marketing Lead
Right after I applied, I got an email to set up a chat with Talent Acquisitions. Then, I had a one-on-one with the Hiring Manager, followed by three more chats with the rest of the team members. Honestly, the whole process was fantastic, way better than I've had before. Everyone I talked to was super professional, nice, and kept me in the loop. I felt respected throughout. All in all, it was a really great time!

Automation Project Manager
What a waste of time! My 4th interview started with them saying "well this is awkward, an offer for this role was accepted by another candidate earlier today". Kind of a shocker since the hiring manager dragged their feet through the first 3 interviews and never once signaled any urgency. The whole process had taken about a month when it really could have been done in 2 days if scheduled properly. Plus, I have major doubts about how a company can offer a position when other qualified people are still interviewing. Wouldn't it be better to fully check out all candidates, especially those who made it through 3 rounds? What if I was more qualified? What if I was willing to take 20% less money? I feel like I dodged a bullet here. Clearly Turntide has some internal communication issues that stopped them from keeping me in the loop about what they were doing. I applied for a mid-senior level job with a salary well over six figures, not some minimum wage gig. There's an expected level of professionalism at this level, and being straight with candidates about the interview process/timeline is a huge part of that. I'd tell others to think twice before applying to a role with Turntide. In my experience, a lack of communication and respect points to bigger problems with company management. Best to avoid and look for a job with a more established company that understands how important professional interviews are.

Program Manager
The interview process started with a recruiter screener, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Then, there were individual interviews with the hiring committee, and finally, a last interview with the hiring manager. Each interview was one-on-one. The whole process took a little over a month, which felt pretty standard for this kind of role. There wasn't a panel interview, and I felt like I got to know each committee member reasonably well given the time spent with them.

Executive Assistant
The interview process began with a phone screen. Even though the job was remote, they confirmed my willingness to work West Coast hours, which I confirmed. Next, I had a group interview with the Chief of Staff to the CEO and the VP of HR. This went well, though scheduling took about 9 days. On the same day as the group interview, they sent over a take-home assignment to assess basic email and mail merge skills. Following that, I met with an advisor to the CEO, who was candid about the CEO's traits. I then had two separate meetings with the CEO. Both meetings started more than 10 minutes late, but the conversations were productive. The CEO requested I connect him with my previous manager for a reference call, and I facilitated this. However, just 6 hours before the scheduled reference call, I received a generic rejection email, informing me that someone else had accepted an offer. When I inquired about the ongoing reference call, the recruiter insisted it would proceed, which was quite awkward given my rejection. I advised my former manager to cancel the call due to the lack of respect for their time. In the end, I was told that being on the East Coast, despite my expressed flexibility and enthusiasm for West Coast hours, was a deciding factor. It was puzzling why this issue wasn't raised earlier in the extensive interview process.
