First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Turning Point USA.
Regional Manager
The interview process felt friendly yet a bit distant. I went through three rounds of interviews and was close to getting the offer, but ultimately, I don't think it was a bad thing that I didn't get the job.
- How would you address a prospective Pastor we are serving?
Administrator
I found this job on tpusa.com/careers and applied online. Got an email right away saying they got my application. Then, Human Capital sent me an email to set up a phone screen. After that, I had two more video calls with the leads for the department I applied to. They gave me the offer about a week after the last interview. The whole thing took about a month from start to finish. It was a really nice interview process.
- What personal gains do you anticipate from this role if hired?
Media Specialist
I had a first generic HR phone interview, then three more video interviews with people in the media department. I also did two different long interview assignments. Everything seemed to go really well, but the process was slow. They asked for my salary range and said candidates would be chosen based on that. When I said my minimum was 45k, they said they wouldn't pay that for a non-entry-level job. They eventually admitted that 42k was also over their budget.
- What is your motivation for wanting to work here?
- In what three ways would your coworkers describe you?
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
HTML Email Developer
The interview process was really disorganized and unprofessional. I was set up for an interview with only a four-day heads-up. Then, on the day of the interview, an hour before it was scheduled, they emailed to say the position was filled and the interview was off. It seems like their HR hiring process is a joke and they're inexperienced. Honestly, I'm kind of glad it didn't work out, given TPUSA's reputation for scandals.
- The interview was canceled an hour before it was supposed to happen!
