First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Turing.
LLM Engineer
First there were some DSA rounds to see if I qualify, then a technical interview covering LLMs and more DSA. After that, they asked questions about different prompt engineering methods and LLM training, and then onboarding started.
- Tell me about LLM prompt engineering methodologies.
- Can you solve some DSA problems?
LLM Engineer
The interview started with a coding round where I was asked to solve a Binary Search Problem. This was followed by a basic Python knowledge round covering decorators and generators. Finally, there was an RLHF task.
- Could you explain decorators, dunder methods, and generators in Python?
Machine Learning Engineer
We had some online assessments that covered coding (like Python, Java), math, and machine learning concepts (theory, Pytorch). Then there was a vetting interview where we did a self-introduction, talked about background and experience, and discussed expectations from both sides, including compensation and general job needs. They also gave some intro on logistics and tips.
- Can you start by telling me a bit about yourself and your experience?
- What are your expectations for the compensation package and the general job requirements?
