First you sign up on the Turing platform and complete your profile with your skills, experience, and desired job roles. This is key for matching you with the right jobs. Then, you'll take some automated coding tests covering algorithms, data structures, system design, and maybe specific tech like Django or React. These tests are timed and similar to LeetCode or HackerRank. If you pass these, you'll have a live technical interview. This usually involves pair programming style coding challenges, system design questions, and a discussion about your past projects and technical choices. They'll also check your English communication since they work with US clients. Turing also really values communication skills. They might ask about your ability to work alone, your experience with remote tools, and how you deal with deadlines or problems remotely. After passing all assessments, you join Turing's talent pool. Then, you'll be matched with clients based on your skills, availability, and interests. You might have a brief call with the client before starting.

There were 3 rounds in total. The first round was a technical solution I had to finish within 24 hours, and it was easy and solvable. The second round was with a Junior Data Scientist who asked me to solve code live. The code had 4 questions. The first was Python, the second and third were SQL, and the fourth was on statistics, which I had to finish in 1 hour. I couldn't finish the code challenge in 1 hour. A data scientist shouldn't waste time here.
