First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Turing.
Technical Content Writer
After some automated tests, the team got in touch about a week later. The interview was pretty quick, under 30 minutes. It began with a "Tell me about yourself" question, and then we moved to a Google Sheet where the hiring manager asked practical questions for training an AI agent.
- How would you populate this spreadsheet with 1000 rows of text that mirror real-life situations and sound authentic?
- What strategies would you use to ensure diversity in the task?
Web Content Writer
The interview process took about a month to complete and consisted of a technical round, a call, a video interview, and a sample task. Despite the length, it was a smooth and not hectic experience.
- What makes you want to work for Turing?
Content Writer
Sent my resumé and was asked to do a test, which I did. The recruiter was super helpful during this part, even letting me reschedule. After the test, I had a screening call where the recruiter asked me to send over my writing portfolio so they could pass it to the content manager. I sent it, but then just never heard anything back. I followed up by email and LinkedIn asking for an update on my application, but got ghosted on both. I get that recruiters and hiring managers are slammed, but it's pretty rude to just go silent when someone isn't moving forward, especially when they follow up asking for news.
- Tell me about yourself and your cultural fit.
- What are your thoughts on SEO?
- Can you discuss your content strategy approach?
