First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Turbocam International.
Mechanical Engineer
I had one virtual interview with the engineering managers. After that, I was invited for an in-person site visit in New Hampshire. During the site visit, they bought me lunch while they interviewed me and gave me a tour of the place.

Video Designer
So first, there was a phone interview. If that went well, then the next step was an in person interview with the manager. After that, I had a group interview where I met the team I'd be working with. They asked me questions to see if I'd be a good fit.
- The main question is if you can adhere to our mission vision.
Network and Systems Administrator
Got to interview with the hiring manager right away, no initial HR screen, which was great. The interview went really well, and the IT manager even said he was impressed and wanted me for the in-person second round. I was surprised by the question about fitting into their mission statement, and I guess I didn't answer it right. That was the last I heard from them. I emailed HR after over a week, but they never replied. Instead, they sent an impersonal rejection through the ATS. It's weird how I went from being a sure thing for round two to not even getting a human response. Super disappointing. It's been over 45 days since the video interview, and the job is still posted. Maybe the job doesn't even exist?
- How do you align with our company's mission statement?
Intern
I was abroad in a country with poor internet at the time. The interview was on skype, but the power kept going out and interrupting the call, which in retrospect was kind of funny. Once the connection was good, the head of the department I was applying to started asking a lot of generic questions about my ambitions and the type of workplace I wanted.
- What is your greatest flaw?
