First round was a screening by HR. Then an online test with DSA in javascript and python, and one system design question. Next, a managerial round where we talked about my previous project, a DSA question in python, and some quick python questions like threads, multiprocessing. After that, a VP round with an LLD question in python, more discussion on past experience, and a system design discussion to upgrade a past project. Finally, an HR round asking about hobbies, reason for change, and salary expectation. Verdict: Rejected. They said they found a better candidate, but the job is still open. Not sure if they're hiring. Save your time.

I applied online. A recruiter reached out wanting to schedule a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager, and they wanted to skip the phone screen process. I replied with my availability. They then replied saying I was scheduled for a 30-minute phone screen with the recruiter. So both the interviewer and interview length changed, but it was no big deal. The day before my phone screen call, I received a generic email saying, "Sorry, but we’re moving forward with other candidates." It’s disheartening as a job applicant to be told you’re meeting with the hiring manager, only to then have the rug pulled out from under you that they’re not interested at all. Eliminate unwanted candidates before scheduling a call with them, not the other way around.

It was a really fast and professional hiring process. You first speak with someone from TA/HR. Then you have a chat with the SDR manager where you talk a lot about your past jobs and highlight your best achievements. After that, there's a panel interview that includes an SDR team member, the SDR manager, and another meeting with HR.

The hiring manager, who is the team lead, reached out to me directly instead of a recruiter. He was really rude and sarcastic, so I decided to withdraw my application after our call. He fixated a lot on my current job, which is a well-known company, and kept saying negative things about it. I thought it was super unprofessional. I even told two friends about this bad experience I had at Tuffin, and they said they had the same negative interaction with this person. We confirmed it was the same guy by sharing his name.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you explain what mutable means?
  • What is a private constructor?
  • What's the time complexity for ArrayList?
