The interview process started with a 15-20 minute phone screen where we talked about my technical interests and past projects. I also got to ask about the company and their current work. Then, there was a second coding screen that took about an hour, which felt pretty chill and conversational. After that, I was invited for an onsite interview. I met one-on-one with 4 engineers and also chatted with the founders. Setting up the trip and the calls was super smooth. The company atmosphere seemed great, everyone was friendly and seemed to like their jobs. The only downside was that the interview day was quite packed, and I barely had time for lunch because I had to catch a flight the same day. But I guess that's normal for smaller companies. Overall, it was a really good experience.

I'm a senior software engineer with many years of experience. I had an initial call scheduled. The interviewer was 30 minutes late. Even though I mentioned I had limited time, he suggested we proceed with a technical question instead of rescheduling. He asked me to code a function, which was a good question. After a few minutes of silence, loud background noises started, making it difficult to concentrate, especially with another call pending. After my workday, I sent him the solution, which took me 15 minutes in a quiet environment. I emailed him asking for his feedback on the solution. I never received a response. This experience was a waste of time and a disgraceful approach.

The recruiter emailed to schedule an introductory call, where they introduced company info and asked resume-based questions. The intro call went well, and the recruiter said they would set up a technical phone interview for the next week. However, they sent a rejection letter saying I wasn't a good fit and they're moving forward with others. It felt like promises weren't kept and their hiring process lacked respect.
