Started with a phone screen. The hiring manager gave a quick overview of the job and what it entails. We then chatted about my background. They asked some really specific questions about my projects. It was a deep dive.

Behavioral

I had about an hour of phone chatting with the team's group members. HR set up two teams for me on the same day, so the total time was around 2 hours. They called my cell, but it turns out candidates can ask for a Skype call, which is more face-to-face and helps candidates understand each other. The questions were more about understanding your background, research, and why you'd want to work at TSMC. They weren't too difficult. It felt more like a casual chat.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you tell me more about yourself and your experience?
  • Could you elaborate on your past research projects?
  • What motivates you to join TSMC?
