First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TSG Restaurants.
Team Member
This was the easiest interview I've ever had. It was really friendly and felt like a chat rather than an evaluation. The questions were direct but not the kind you'd study for, like 'What are your weaknesses?'
- Can you introduce yourself?
Assistant Manager
The hiring process has two parts. First, you'll meet with higher-ups, typically the regional director. After that, the general manager of the location you'd be working at will interview you. They'll show you around the restaurant and sometimes conduct a working interview to see how you connect with the team. It's really chill, no stress.
- What are your aspirations for your career?
- Can you tell me about your long-term career vision for the next 5-10 years?
- Could you describe your experiences with customer service?
Accountant
They started with a phone interview and then I had two in-person interviews. It's changed a bit over the last couple of years. Now they do a phone call, and then usually one in-house interview. They say they are really great to employees and have a good work environment, but you'll see that for yourself once you start. Definitely ask for a tour, it's quite eye-opening.
- They ask general questions and try to trick you with some like, 'What shape are you now?' They didn't do that before.
Shift Manager
The interview process is quite extensive, but I don't see that as a bad thing. For this manager role, there are three interviews. You'll start with a phone call, then have an interview with the store's General Manager, and finally, you'll meet with the Regional Director.
- Can you describe your past experience?
