Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Truth Initiative.
Intern
You send in your resume and cover letter, then answer some questions about why you're interested in Truth. After that, there's a virtual interview on Zoom with some people who work there now, lasting about 30-60 minutes. Then, they'll ask for three references for a check, and if all goes well, you'll get an offer.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you describe your __ experience?
Intern
I had a 30-minute remote interview with two members of the research team. It was pretty straightforward, no technical questions. They mainly asked about my past performance, my research approach, and how I work with others.
- Tell me about a time you faced difficulties and how you overcame them.
- How do you collaborate with teammates?
- What are your expected contributions to this role?
Intern
I applied online and they reached out by email. We could do a Skype interview instead of going to DC. Everyone was really nice and it was a good experience overall. HR was pretty responsive when I had questions or needed to confirm details.
- Can you tell me what you would like to gain from this internship?
- Can you walk me through your resume?
