First I had a Screen call with HR to go over the company and position overview and benefits, then an Interview with hiring manager to get more context about the challenge and the position, then an Interview with C-level for more context about the company on a high level and to finish they asked for Reference checks (3x).

A recruiter reached out to me about a job at Trustly. The people were nice, but I got the feeling they interviewed a ton of people for this position which seemed to be a bit of a waste. It was two months before I heard back that they wanted someone with more specific experience, despite having reached out to me and knowing my background when approaching me. They thought I might be a fit for another position and I haven't decided if I'll proceed for it.

A recruiter reached out for an initial call to discuss my work history. After that, I had a video chat with the hiring manager and was assigned a test to complete within a week. Once I submitted it, I let the recruiter know, and she promised to follow up. A week passed without any news, so I followed up myself and learned that someone else got the job. The recruiter offered to check for other roles, but I never heard back from her, and I didn't see the point in chasing it further. Recruiters should really keep candidates in the loop about their application status rather than making us chase them for updates.
