I applied and had a call with the recruiter a few days later. It was a good chat and it seemed like a good fit. They let me know the interview process could take a bit because they got a lot of applications. They told me to follow up in 2 weeks if I didn't hear anything. I sent an email, but then nothing. I was ghosted with no explanation or even a rejection. It's now been a month since that recruiter call. It's frustrating because they aren't transparent with candidates, which is supposed to be a core value.

I had a phone screen scheduled, but the day before, I got an automated email saying it was cancelled because they hired someone. It was disappointing because if they already had candidates in later stages, why schedule initial phone screens? Then, a few days later, I got another rejection email, but it seemed like the rejection template in their ATS wasn't set up right. The email literally said: (Candidate First Name), Thanks so much for your interest in joining (company name) We recently closed our search and will no longer be interviewing for our (job name) role. Overall, a really disappointing experience.

The interview process started with a phone screen from HR, followed by a 1-hour interview with the manager. Then, there was a 4-hour panel interview with 5 managers from different roles, and I also had a take-home assignment. The interview was fair but took a long time. I felt good about it the whole time, got good feedback, and felt the conversations were good and reciprocal. The questions were pretty repetitive. I was surprised I didn't get the job in the end. It's disappointing given the time invested and the positive feedback throughout to not get an offer.

So the hiring process here is pretty thorough, taking about two months total, which might sound like a lot, but if you know you're good at what you do, don't sweat it. I applied online, and after a few weeks, a recruiter called me for a 30-minute phone chat. Then, I had another 30-minute phone interview with the department manager. Following that, there was a 1-hour video call with the same manager. Sometime between that second and third interview, I was given a take-home assignment that took me about 3 hours. The fourth and last interview was a long one, four hours, where I met with four different people from various teams, with a 15-minute break in the middle. After all that, they asked for references, and then I got the offer.
