First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trusaic.
Sales Development Representative
They gave me two date options at the start, and even though I picked one, they didn't reply for about six days. I had to follow up to get a response and the interview was set up really last minute, like the day before. It felt like they didn't respect my time. The plan was for four interviews in a row, but after I talked to HR and the CEO, they canceled the other two without saying why. Then I just got a standard rejection email with no feedback. The CEO also kept cutting me off when I was answering questions, and the whole conversation felt kind of condescending and like they were talking down to me, not really a balanced chat. It was way different from other places and made me feel bad about their company culture.
- Why Trusaic and this role?
Sales Development Representative
had one long interview in person with 5 different members of the company. It was good conversation, and they said to just be myself. Just don't be weird, come with a good vibe and know the product and what the company and role entails.
- Could you tell me a little about yourself?
Account Executive
The interview process started with a recruiter screen, but it was actually with the CEO's executive assistant, who didn't seem to know much about the role, not a great first impression. Then there were two more steps, a meeting with the hiring manager/VP. He was late, about 10-15 minutes, and we didn't get the full time for the interview, so he wanted to schedule a second meeting. The hiring manager was super smart and I enjoyed talking to him. The fourth step involved back-to-back interviews with the product person, CRO, and CEO. This is where it went downhill. The product person didn't have much to add, seemed unprepared, and I got the vibe they didn't know why they were there. The CRO was cool and easy to talk to. The CEO was exactly as described in the bad Glassdoor reviews – arrogant, elitist, and uninterested. He clearly hadn't read my resume before the call. For a sales job, he asked about my degree, why I didn't minor in anything else, and why I don't have an MBA, looking down on those who don't. He gave off 'I'm better than you' vibes and thinks his company is the best, only selling to Fortune 500s. He proudly mentioned his Account Executives work from 1 am to 6 pm to cover US and UK hours, expecting the same from all his sales team. It seems like a major red flag that they aren't hiring in the UK to cover those hours and expect people in PST to work them for standard pay. I walked away from the CEO interview, it was an immediate hard no. I didn't follow up and got a generic rejection email about a week and a half later. Definitely dodged a bullet.
- How do you make yourself a trusted advisor for your clients?
Legal Assistant
I had a phone chat with the recruiter that went well, they explained the job and process. Then I took tests for cognitive skills (CCAT) and personality. After that, I interviewed with two attorneys, each for 30 mins. Those talks were good and helped me learn more about the job. But the last onsite with the CEO was bad. The CEO seemed totally checked out the whole time, which was weird after liking the lawyers I met. I never heard back about the decision, felt ghosted.
