First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trumpf Medical.
Employee
We did an in person meeting with HR, the direct hiring manager, and their immediate manager. There was also a company short tour. Then there was a virtual teams interview with the hiring manager.
- What is your understanding of TRUMPF?
Job Developer
The interview questions were the same as those provided, and the conversation atmosphere was very pleasant. It's clear that we need to prepare well for the technical part of the interview and the question about strengths and weaknesses.
- Can you give a brief self-description?
Working Student
First, the recruiter gave an introduction to the company and the position. Then I got to explain myself and my motivation in detail. The main office in Saalfeld was also patched in by phone. Overall, the conversation was very pleasant and I felt I presented myself well. At the end of the interview, I even received a brief product training in their showroom.
- Why do you want to work in the medical technology industry?
Sales Consultant
It was a straightforward process. Started with a background check, then some STAR method questions to see how I handle things. They also looked at personality fit. A big part was a 'ride along' with a local rep to see me in action. After that, I met with the VP and Director for interviews, and finally, the VP/GM for the last one. The whole thing took about a month and usually ends with an offer soon after meeting the VP/GM. The interviews were pretty pleasant, and if you worked with a recruiter, they gave some good tips. Definitely send thank-you emails to everyone you meet.
- Can you share an example using the STAR method?
