First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trulioo.
Software Developer
The hiring process involved three main stages: an initial call with a recruiter, a meeting with the Software Development Manager, and finally, interviews with four future Software Engineers. The recruiter managing the process was very communicative, responsive, and helpful, going the extra mile. I had a great overall experience with the interview process, better than any other company I've interviewed with. I received the results exactly one week after the final round.

Implementation Manager
It started with a standard recruiter screening interview, which included some behavioral and technical questions about the role and my experience. Then, I had a more technical interview with the hiring manager, focusing on APIs. They mentioned there's no expectation to know everything, as things can be taught. Despite thinking the interview went well and being told I'd move on, I was rejected after needing to follow up a week later. It seems they were looking for more experience and skills than initially suggested by the job description. The offered salary is also significantly below market value.
- Can you explain what an API is?
- How would you explain an API in simple terms to a child?
- Could you elaborate on API-related questions?
Marketing Specialist
The whole process took about 5 weeks and was disorganized. I interviewed with several VPs and leaders who had all been there less than a year. The final interview was confusingly a group interview where they asked for deep technical knowledge about the industry. It felt like they didn't really know what the job required or have any institutional knowledge about the role. Looking back, I suspect it might have been a ghost position.
- On which platform would you allocate the advertising budget?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was incredibly fast and professional. It started with a video call with HR, where they asked about my background and skills and what I knew about Trulioo. Next, I had a conversation with the hiring manager, who asked more technical questions in a really comfortable setting. Then, I gave a presentation to the hiring manager and three future SDR teammates, which was also a great experience with nice people. The final step was a video call with the VP of Sales for more technical and behavioral questions, and I was asked to do a role-play. Overall, the experience was amazing, and Trulioo's human approach really makes a difference!
- Could you tell me what you know about Trulioo?
- Tell me about a time when you experienced...?
- How do you typically handle stress?
