The last interview was kind of a mess. It was supposed to be a video call with two QA people, the main QA manager from the US and a senior QA guy from Stockholm. But the senior QA guy logged in without video and didn't even say why. It was super distracting and made it really awkward to talk. Honestly, as a candidate, it felt disrespectful and gave me a bad vibe about how they communicate there.

The interview process for this help desk role was pretty straightforward, especially if you have prior help desk experience. I felt I answered everything well and it seemed to go smoothly. However, I was informed they were moving forward with candidates who "fit our needs more closely." This was unexpected given the job only required 1+ years of experience, and I have 5 years in IT, with 3 of those years in the exact same role. My suspicion is that they prioritized candidates they could underpay and possibly chose based on personality, as the lead for the help desk seemed a bit unusual.

The entire hiring process took about a month from the initial recruiter contact to signing the offer. It was a really smooth experience, and I was always kept informed about the progress. First, I had a call with the recruiter to talk about my background and learn more about the job and the company. The recruiter knew a lot about the role and was happy to answer my questions. Then, I had a video interview with the hiring manager, which went well. About a week later, I got a verbal offer, and I signed the official offer letter a few days after that. Everything about the hiring process went great. The people I interviewed with seemed smart and positive. I'm very happy with how it all turned out.

I applied online and heard back the next day about a phone interview. It was a pretty standard call where the recruiter talked about the company and the hybrid accounting/finance job. They said they'd email me about the next interview with the Hiring Manager, but I never heard back. When I followed up, they said her schedule was crazy busy and it would be a while. I get it, so I waited, but I kept applying elsewhere. Good thing too, because again, just silence. Honestly, a simple decline email would be better than being ghosted by True Group, especially by a recruiter representing them. It just shows a lack of respect and humanity.
