Product Manager
The hiring manager gave me the initial call. We had a nice conversation and she asked about pay towards the end. She acknowledged my desire for reimbursement, but she didn't say much and the call ended. I got a rejection email 3 days later.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are the KPIs for an e-commerce business?
- What are the KPIs for returns?
Software Engineer
I applied online and then got emails to schedule an interview. Because of the coronavirus, recruiters helped me reschedule a zoom interview and it all happened super fast. My interview was two and a half hours, where I met 4 software engineers and did 3 technical interviews. Everyone at True Fit was really nice and patient, super passionate about their work and happy to share ideas, so I learned a lot. I heard back just a few hours after the interview with an offer letter. It's great that recruiters were so efficient even when working from home.
- Could you tell me about an algorithm question you encountered?
- Can you describe a model designing question you were asked?
- What was a question related to databases?
Technical Writer
I first met with three people at the same time. They asked pretty basic questions, mostly about my past work experience. Later on, the questions became more about hypothetical situations, like how I'd handle a certain problem or what I'd do in a specific scenario. The first two interviewers were chill and friendly, so I felt pretty relaxed. After that, I talked to someone from upper management. He started by asking if the first three interviewers treated me well, which I thought was a nice touch. Again, the questions were straightforward, nothing too complicated. At the end, he asked if I had any questions about the company.
- Can you describe your responsibilities at your previous employer?
- What would be your approach to collaborating with a colleague who is overwhelmed with work?
- How would you manage a situation where you lack essential knowledge for your role?
Graphic Designer
The interview process was clear and handled really well. I wasn't able to visit the office during my interview process due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the US, but the team was able to answer all of the questions I had, and gave me a virtual tour of the office! It started with a phone interview which led to two Zoom interviews. It felt professional and I was comfortable talking to everyone on the call. I already have a sense of good teamwork from this company and feel respected as a new employee although I haven't met anyone in person yet.
