First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tru by Hilton.
Front Desk
It was pretty laid-back and informal. I met the owner in the hotel lobby for a quick chat, under 15 minutes, covering the basics. The owner was really nice and professional. I wasn't sure about getting the job because I didn't have hotel experience, but they ended up offering it to me.
- Tell me about your customer service experience.
Night Auditor
The interview process was quick and simple. There was a little mix-up with the date, but overall it was a nice experience. The general manager was really nice. I just wasn't a fan of all the constant group texting.
- Can you tell me about your customer service experience?
Front Desk Supervisor
They asked a lot about my past job duties. Then they asked me to introduce myself and then asked about my availability. They also asked me what gets me excited about work and what I'm looking for in a workplace.
- What makes work exciting for you?
Front Desk Breakfast Attendant
I applied on Indeed, and then they called me in for an in-person interview. During the interview, they asked me various questions about my skills. They assessed my experience, skills, and availability to decide if I would be hired.
- Do you have prior hotel experience? If yes, for how many years?
