First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trove Brands.
Marketing Project Manager
It took a long time, like three months, to get through the three interview rounds for this job. I made it to the last round, and they said they'd let me know the decision the next week. But, I didn't hear back for over two weeks, and it was just a generic rejection email with no details. Then, the job was posted again the same day.
- What's your strategy for handling priorities when you have many deadlines at once?
HR Assistant
So after I applied, it took about a week to get an email for a phone interview with the recruiter. Then, about another week later, they emailed me to set up an in-person interview with the hiring manager and the recruiter. That was the second interview. A few days after that, I got another email to schedule the final interview with the COO and the hiring manager. This last one also had some assessments. The first phone call was pretty short, only about 15 minutes. The second and third interviews were each about 30 minutes. The whole thing took a bit longer than usual, but they really seem to know what they're looking for and are serious about finding the right person.
- Can you tell me about your career aspirations?
- What are your long-term professional objectives for the next five years?
Graphic/Digital Designer
A recruiter from Trove Brands reached out about a month ago, saying my portfolio and resume were great and my experience aligned well with their digital/graphic designer position. I applied, but after being ghosted for weeks, I got an email saying they were pursuing other candidates and my resume was auto-declined. Then I got another email saying the same thing. Earlier this week, after almost two months and being declined twice, the original recruiter emailed me saying they decided to close the design position. The email was sent directly, not as a reply, and they forgot to include my name, using the AI generated "Dear [Candidate's First Name]" instead. Having had a similar experience almost two years ago with this company, this shows me the company culture seems toxic from the start.
- Tell me about something you're passionate about and could discuss extensively.
Customer Service Representative
The scheduling software had some issues, so I had to reach out a few times to get the interview details confirmed. First, there was a phone interview. After that, I went to a hiring event at the facility. This event had three parts: a formal interview, a quiz with one of the managers, and a meeting with the CSM team. Following all that, there was another quiz with three questions after the interview. They mentioned they'd let me know early the next week, but it actually took three weeks to get an automated rejection email.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with an unhappy customer and how you resolved the situation to their satisfaction?
