First, there was a video call with talent acquisition, where the recruiter didn't show their face. Then, a video call with the corporate counsel who was exiting the position. A third video call was scheduled with an executive, but they didn't show up. Following this no-show, talent acquisition informed me that they had decided to move forward with another candidate and that rescheduling wasn't necessary. Overall, it was quite an unprofessional experience, largely due to the recruiter's apparent lack of skill.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process involved meeting with a VP of Product for an hour, followed by the CTO for an hour. After that, I had a 30-minute meeting with the Head of People and the CFO, and finally, a 30-minute meeting with the CEO. Most of these interviews were in-depth discussions about my past experiences, my approach to product management, and how I'd apply it to a company like Trovata, considering its size, industry, and market standing. There were a couple of standard interview questions, like asking about my interest in Trovata and my methods for building agreement among teams. The overall feel was very conversational, which helped me perform better.

My interview at Trovata was a positive experience. Natalie, my recruiter, was great at setting up interviews and letting me know what to expect. The interview process had 3 parts: first, a 30-minute 1-on-1 with the hiring manager. Then, an hour-long joint interview with the head of HR and product. Lastly, a final interview with the CEO. The interviews were casual chats focused on my experience and if I'd be a good fit for the company culture. It was nice talking to everyone, and they really showed what Trovata's teams and culture are like. I particularly enjoyed my time with Brett and chatting with him.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was pretty intense. I went through four interviews with the recruiter, the VP of Sales, the Director of Sales, and the CFO. After that, I had to do a mock demo. They decided not to move forward with me after the demo. If I had passed the mock demo, there would have been one final interview with the CEO. I get wanting to be thorough, but spending so many hours, not to mention the prep time for the mock sales interview, and not getting the job is just ridiculous. They should let candidates go earlier. It's super unprofessional.
