First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trout CPA.
Intern
The company was really communicative and focused on the intern's goals. They tailored the program to what the intern wanted to achieve and learn about the accounting industry. There were 2 interviews with different people and then an assessment.
- Could you share your background and what motivated you to pursue accounting?
Accountant
The interview was pretty disorganized, and the interviewer showed up late. They didn't ask much and it felt like they were just trying to fill positions quickly, not even mentioning the specific role I applied for.
- Can you tell me about your background?
Auditor
I met two people from TEG at my school's career fair and got an interview. Then, I had a phone interview with their HR rep, followed by an in-person interview with the HR rep and a partner. It was a really chill and easy process.
- Can you explain your reasons for choosing TEG?
- What are your aspirations for the future?
- Describe your experiences at school.
Front Desk Assistant
The interview process was pretty interesting. I met with 3 different people over a pretty long stretch of time, and we had multiple meetings. They told me they were interested in hiring me after the last interview. But then, they saw my tattoos and didn't like them. It was weird to go through so many interviews and then find out my wrist tattoo was an issue.
- Where do you envision yourself professionally in the next five years?
