I went through 4 interviews for the Front End Developer role. Two were remote and involved a single technical interviewer. The other two were in person at their Dusseldorf headquarters. The first in-person interview was with two senior technical people, and the final one was with the CTO. Although I didn't get the job, they did reimburse my travel costs. They didn't really make me feel welcome though, and didn't seem very concerned about me.

I applied directly through the website link for the Dusseldorf position. The interview process involved two main stages. First, there was a case study that was given a week to complete, which was relatively easy. The second interview consisted of a discussion about the case study and a simple JavaScript coding exercise on an IDE.

Technical Coding

I applied online and then I was given a task to work with PHP + JS for the role. I had to create a docker container with an API server and a SPA. It took me more than 7 days to complete. I felt it was unprofessional to assign such a big technical task without even talking to HR first.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Build a docker container that includes a PHP API server and a SPA using React or Vue.
