Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tristate Financial Advisors.
Financial Advisor
We had an info session with the manager, then a first round interview with someone already in the role, and finally a last interview with the head of the office. The process was pretty simple and not too hard, about the same as other places I've applied to.
- What draws you to this profession?
Financial Advisor
We had a group interview first, and then an individual one. In the group zoom, they went over information you should know for the individual zoom so you can prepare well. For the individual zoom, you'll meet with a lower-level employee and discuss your interest in the field, the company, and what makes you a strong hire.
- What personal attributes do you possess that would make you a suitable candidate for this role?
Financial Advisor
We started with a group zoom info session, then I had a one-on-one zoom interview. They asked really basic stuff about my attitude, how I work, and my communication skills. The people were energetic, but the training period seems long, and success really depends on the advisor building their own client base.
- Why do you think you would be a suitable financial advisor?
