You do a phone call interview first. Then there's a panel interview where you talk to people from different units for about 3 minutes each. If a unit wants to hire you, they'll give you an offer.

I had a peer interview with a staff RN who had 18 months of experience. Her questions were a bit tough, and not much of what I prepared was useful. They used a scoring sheet from 1-5 and a place for comments. Then, I interviewed with two leaders/higher-level managers. They asked different questions, but they were also difficult. After the interviews, we toured the hospital. The whole interview was challenging, but the interviewers were really nice. The process seems to involve a recruiter call, then the onsite interviews with the RN and leaders, followed by a background check and then an offer.

I did a phone interview with two managers from the cardiac floors. Then, I had an in-person interview with more situational questions. After that, I shadowed on both units to see what they were like.
