First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tripalink.
Software Engineer
The interview process had 2 LeetCode-medium questions and 1 system-design interview (Airbnb-style). It was technically fine. However, I withdrew after finding out the company’s Head of AI previously worked at CloudWalk Technology, a Chinese facial-recognition and surveillance company on the U.S. Department of Commerce Entity List for human rights violations and designated by the U.S. Department of the Treasury as part of China’s military-industrial complex. Public records show this individual continued working on surveillance tech at CloudWalk even after it was sanctioned by the U.S. This raised serious personal and ethical concerns for me, and I decided I wasn't comfortable working under that leadership, especially since USC's office of ethics and compliance noted CloudWalk is on the DoD 1260H list.

Machine Learning Engineer
I was contacted by the company for an interview, which I accepted. The CTO cancelled an hour before our scheduled meeting. They asked me to reschedule, so I did. However, the CTO never showed up for the rescheduled interview. I'm unsure if this is a joke or a sign of their disorganization and rudeness. Given that I have a job and don't need this role, and their unprofessionalism, I'm passing on this opportunity. It seems like they treat candidates poorly to test their tolerance.

Marketing Specialist
The interview process for a Marketing Specialist at Tripalink was a great experience. It started with an initial screening call with the Senior recruiter, which I thought was fantastic due to the questions and commitment shown. Next, I had my first interview with the leasing manager, who asked direct questions about my experience. The second interview was with a Director of Operations, where I discussed my ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns, analyze data, and collaborate. I really liked the team's dynamics and goals. The final interview focused on my marketing experience and my potential contributions in the role. The whole process spanned about 2 weeks. After accepting the offer, HR helped with onboarding for a smooth transition. I felt valued and respected throughout, meeting passionate marketers ready to make an impact at Tripalink.

Product Manager
The interview process involved 5 interviews. Near the offer stage, they inquired about my Mandarin proficiency and only then revealed that the entire engineering team is located in China. This lack of upfront communication from the team was quite frustrating and ultimately a waste of everyone's time. I wouldn't suggest applying here; the organization seems disorganized.
- Tell me about a product design you worked on.
- Can you discuss some metric-related questions?
- Let's go over some behavioral questions.
