The interview process took a while, getting rescheduled a bunch of times over 3 weeks. Everyone I talked to kept saying how the company is really transparent. But then, after they told me I'd get feedback after the second round interview, I just got an automated rejection email that I couldn't reply to. It would have been nice to at least get something copy-pasted from a person, especially since I took the time to interview with them. Being courteous should go both ways.

My interview process at TripAdvisor was thorough and efficient. I had several phone screens before I came into the company, so I had a very good sense of the role, expectations and company culture before I even met anyone. I was able to meet with everyone I'd interact with including the team I'd manage. HR was extremely responsive and timely, getting back to me with follow up and next steps with days. Everyone I met with was professional, bright and friendly. The culture can be described as friendly, creative and constantly looking to improve on every aspect of what they do.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I'm still very frustrated with the recruiters who continue to ghost me and stay unresponsive after a very long interview process. It's the bare minimum to respond to candidates who made it to what they thought was the final round of multiple months of interviews before waiting for 2 more months to hear nothing and then seeing the job being reposted under a new title. A simple status update would've been helpful, especially in this extremely difficult job searching economy. It's definitely made me think less of Tripadvisor as a company and unlikely to use the products moving forward, which is unfortunate as someone who travels frequently.
