So, the interview process had two parts, both done over Teams. The first chat was with the two main directors in Spain, and it was less than an hour long. They spoke in both English and Spanish and told me what kind of person they were looking for and some of the job's tasks. The second interview was with the managing director in China, in English. She asked me to talk about myself and how I'd handle some hypothetical situations.

I was contacted by an external recruiter. After passing that initial contact, I was put forward to the hiring manager as a strong candidate. I then had a one-hour conversation with the hiring manager. During this meeting, I was asked very specific questions about how I would originate deals, my strategy for entering new markets, and other detailed inquiries about my methods for securing land and finding PPAs, as well as my overall approach. I felt like I was disclosing too much information during this first interview. My impression was that the department was quite demanding and that the company culture might not be a good fit for me.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I applied via LinkedIn and got a call from HR pretty quickly. Then I had an interview with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and my future Team Leader. They asked me both technical and behavioral questions. I was really impressed with how professional they were and how well they knew the solar industry. They guided the conversation well, asking specific questions that helped me give good answers. The discussion really matched the job description. Next, I had to do a business case for my role, which I presented a few days later. This was with my future Head of Sales, my Team Leader, and the HR team. The presentation was about my ideas for the role and how I could best contribute to the company. They asked a lot of thorough questions, making it a productive discussion. Throughout both stages, I felt like I was talking to real professionals who were genuinely interested in my thoughts and passion for the role. They wanted to hire someone who could make a real impact at Trina. The third stage involved completing online assessments for numerical and verbal reasoning, and providing references from a previous manager and a colleague for HR to discuss my personality and performance. The whole process took two weeks, and I got the job offer within a week after that.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process was diverse and included several interviews with different people from the company. There were also different tests to perform and a business case to resolve. Finally, references had to be provided. I think it's a robust process that ensures the candidate is evaluated from various points of view and therefore assesses different skills. It was also a straightforward process and didn't last too long, taking about a month in total. The company is also sensitive to candidate concerns and is able to reassure and discuss all aspects.
