CodeNation came to our college to hire Summer Interns in July '15. We'd heard about CodeNation's awesome culture and were excited. Their Intern hiring is one of the toughest and coolest I've seen. It started with a HackerRank written round with 4 questions in 1.5 hours: Cakewalk, 1-D DP, Greedy, and 2-D DP. Then there were a couple of interviews and an HR round. I solved 2.5 questions and got selected for interviews with some classmates. The interviews were on Skype. In the first round, I talked to an IITB Alumnus. He asked me to describe myself and my past work. Then he asked me to detail my Data Analysis Project. After that, he gave me a problem about reversing nodes on alternate levels of a binary tree, asking for in-place modification. I came up with a recursive solution since I didn't know a standard algorithm, though some friends said it could be done with a queue. Later that night, my second interview was with a team member from CodeNation's Dubai HQ. This was a great experience. He asked me to code a solution for software dependency installation. I came up with an O(n) recursive solution (brute force). Finally, he asked how to install multiple software packages simultaneously and requested code for it.
