First, I had a phone interview with HR that lasted about 2 hours. After that, I had another phone interview with an engineer that lasted about 1 hour. Then, I went in for an in-person interview which included two meetings: one with an engineer and a geologist, and another with two geologists. The in-person meetings were pretty relaxed and low-stress, with lots of questions but nothing too hard. Everyone was really nice. They went over the company benefits and what kind of projects I might be working on.

This is a very professional organization with a strong work hard play hard culture that is family focused. The interview process consisted of two phone interviews and a third in person interview. During the in person interview, I was given a tour of the head quarters followed by individual meetings with senior staff. It was a relatively slow process. This is an environmentally responsible organization with a healthy work and family balance.

I had a phone screening first, which went well. Then, two virtual interviews that also went well. The on-site interview was rescheduled and ended up overlapping with people from another office. When I got there, none of the people from the other office were present. Plus, the host couldn't recall who the HR contact was. It was quite awkward.

The interview process was really long. They made me drive 140 miles and then I didn't hear from them for three weeks about the job status. I called HR and she said, 'It looks like we filled the position.' Which was super helpful.
