They were very transparent in their process, and welcoming throughout their communication strategies. From the time I got notified initially through the screening interview, I felt very welcomed. They were on time as I was also on time.

The interview process at Trust, a family-owned seafood manufacturer worth billions, was pretty standard. It involved around 4 meetings. However, they were very slow to communicate, and I had to chase them for most updates. I did meet some people who had worked their way up from entry-level roles to management over 20-25 years, which shows impressive longevity.

I had a general phone interview where they asked about my pay expectations. They had a wide pay range, with the top being around $33/hr. I asked for $29-30/hr and they immediately said 'oh on the high end.' I explained that for the job expectations and my experience, that would be fair. Then Trident Foods ghosted me and I never heard back. I thought that was a rude reaction, especially since it was below the end of their expected pay range.

This is a temp-to-hire role, and management's top priorities are production and fishing vessels. Hiring for non-production jobs like this one can take a really long time and be quite stressful. The interviews themselves are professional, with both HR and the relevant management team present. It's super helpful if you know someone already working here to get an interview. The background checks are really thorough. They care more about your experience than your education.
