I spoke with the HR manager and set up a call to go over the job. After we talked, they requested I send a follow-up email with more info on my past jobs and how they fit the role I was interviewing for. It took them many weeks to reply and they never gave me an update about my application. I was ghosted by the recruiter and company after trying to reach out multiple times.

The interview process was thoughtful and organized, and it was easy to schedule. There were multiple interviews, up to 5, which made sense given the role. I liked the process and the one-on-one style instead of meeting with a panel. It was a good way to get to know the awesome people at Tricon.

A recruiter reached out about a UX-UI Designer role at Tricon. The recruiter mentioned the role focused on mobile products, which aligned with my experience. After submitting my resume and portfolio, I had an interview with the designer and Director of Product Management. However, only the designer showed up, and I learned the role was actually for a desktop SaaS platform. Despite this miscommunication, the interview went well and I advanced. The recruiter said this would be the final interview and asked me to present a relevant portfolio project. I prepared a case study slide deck. When the interview day came, I met with only one person, and it was a casual portfolio walkthrough, not the case study I had prepared. Midway through, the director asked me to present a different project I hadn't reviewed in a year. I admitted I wasn't prepared for that specific project. The director apologized for the confusion and mentioned there would be another interview if I advanced. It's been a few weeks with no follow-up, and the recruiter has gone silent. I wish I could pivot on the spot, but I perform best with thorough preparation, which was difficult due to inconsistent information. It was disappointing given my effort, but I enjoyed my conversations with the team.

Applied online. A recruiter called me, but I missed it and left a message. I called back quickly and left another detailed message offering to be available for the rest of the day, also providing my email. I never got a response back, which is really frustrating. It feels like a game, and it sets candidates up for failure when they can't make the recruiter's random call time. I was excited about interviewing here, but I won't waste my time with recruiters who do this.
