Marketing Intern
The interview was pretty standard, the interviewer asked me some personal questions about my background and experience, and then told me about the company's culture. The process seemed nice and we had good conversations. However, I got ghosted at last. I even sent a follow-up email and could've just told me they moved on with other applicants. Very unprofessional.
- Could you share some details about yourself?
Account Director
I applied online and was contacted by an HR coordinator to schedule time for a video interview with the CEO. Was a comfortable conversation with good narrative on the future of the company. A week later I had another interview with one of the founders, again a comfortable interview, he seemed very impressed with my background and qualifications. He mentioned they would get back to me shortly. Then nothing. Completely ghosted. I hoped for more from a company that seemed very focused on its people.
- Describe your management style.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a client and how you handled it?
Intern
It started with a recruiter call where we discussed my background and my interest in the company and marketing specifically. Then I went into the office for an interview with two senior associates. It felt more like a conversation, and I got to ask them questions. They asked about my Excel and PowerPoint skills, but it wasn't super technical. The last step was a Skype call with the VP since the president wasn't available. We chatted briefly again about why I was interested in tribal and marketing. There weren't many behavioral questions, and I had to work to keep the conversation going since they weren't asking the most relevant questions. Everyone was really nice, though, and it was a pretty relaxed interview.
- Tell me about your marketing background.
- Can you explain your marketing background?
Marketing Associate
The process started really fast. I applied online and two days later I had a phone screening. A few days after that, I was invited for one-on-one interviews with a marketing associate, a senior marketing associate, and a marketing manager. Each of these one-on-ones was 30 minutes long, and it was exhausting and I worried about repeating myself. Two days after that, I had a phone interview with one of their partners, who seemed unfocused. I only got a reply to my thank you emails from the HR manager. Then, things slowed down a lot. They said it would take less than a week to hear back because they were moving so fast with this role, but it actually took over two weeks for them to respond. All their emails felt really stiff and automated.
- Can you describe yourself using just three words?
- Tell me something interesting about yourself that isn't already on your resume.
