First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TRG.
Intern
The interview itself was pretty average, but the feel of the place was very cultish. Everybody I interviewed with spoke about Stan and what he likes, dislikes, etc. It almost seemed like they were brainwashed. The building was amazing, but on my tour I was shown the women's restroom and told that at night you can see into the restroom from I-75. She then proceeding to tell me, "Stan loves bringing guys in here and showing them that they can see the women's restroom from the road". She thought it was funny, but I thought it was creepy. I've read several reviews that said sexism runs rampant here and she pretty much confirmed that with her story. I got the impression that the people were very fake and it's hard to grow in this company. I was even told by one of the interviewers that the company culture is "every man for himself" Overall, it seemed very sterile and creepy.
- What skills could you bring to TRG?
Intern
It was a longer and more intensive interview process than normal internships, but considering that a lot of their new hires come from their interns it makes sense to be more exhaustive during this stage. First talked to HR and had a good interview which seemed more like a conversation. The second and third interviews were with the team I would be working with and it was very conversational. They just wanted a sense of who I am, how I work in teams, and kind of making sure I can back up my resume and skills listed. Make sure to follow up regularly and send thank you notes. Definitely research the company, the culture, and their clients - I had a really strong grasp and I feel like my ability to talk about their work and culture greatly helped me.
- Can you tell me about your resume and experiences?
- Describe a specific experience you've had.
- How do you collaborate within a team setting?
Intern
I filled out an interest form online with a short paragraph. About three weeks later, I had an interview meeting with one person. I felt overqualified for the role. The interviewer spent most of the time looking at their phone and talking about themselves. Then, the HR person gave me a tour of the building and joked about the nap room only being used for practicing speeches alone.
- If you were a brand, which one would you be?
