Claims Adjuster Trainee
The interview process involves typical questions about how you manage stress and a busy workload. They'll also inquire about your previous experience and how it aligns with the job qualifications. Expect one or two questions concerning your education.
- How do you cope with stress?
- How do you manage a heavy workload?
- Can you explain how your past experience relates to the requirements of this role?
Claims Adjuster
It was a really fun interview, like a chat between adults. They asked good questions with humor, and I answered honestly. We had a nice conversation. They said they'd call and they did. The next step was a six week training course, which was the worst training ever. It was a pointless, boring social media class. The instructor mostly just picked a few people to be friends with and they spent all day on Pinterest and Snapchat. It was awful!
- How do you handle stressful situations?
Insurance Agent
The hiring manager will visit your current business. They will ask about your religious preference, marital status, and potentially your sexuality. It's very important to carefully review the contract because they might remove pages. Unlike major companies like State Farm or AllState, ALFA Insurance classifies agents as At-Will Independent Contractors legally.
- Could you tell me about your religious beliefs?
- What is your marital status?
- What are your thoughts on sexuality?
Casualty Adjuster
It was a typical claims interview with the claims manager and hiring manager. Both managers asked general questions about my previous experience, strengths, and weaknesses. One manager was friendly and warm, but the other manager, who became my direct supervisor, was unpleasant during my employment and was the reason I left the company.
- What would you say are your greatest strengths?
