Everyone I talked to was really nice. The office vibe feels more like a corporate finance or commercial real estate place, even for the engineers. Most parts of the interview were pretty good, like a back-and-forth conversation, except for one remote person who seemed to have no clue how to interview. They gave no feedback the whole time, just asked a bunch of vague, surface-level questions.

The interview process was pretty fast and efficient. I had a tight timeline, but Trepp was able to work with that. It took 18 days total from applying to getting an offer. First, there was a phone screen with HR, then 5 more interviews over Zoom. Everyone I talked to was nice, professional, and knew their stuff. Some interviews were more technical, others were about culture fit and behavioral stuff. The job is what I expected based on the description and interviews. Overall, I had a really good experience interviewing with Trepp.

Behavioral Technical

I went through five virtual interviews. The first four were actually some of the best interviews I've ever had, giving me a strong sense that the people there are good and value their work and company culture. Sadly, the last interview round was a bit of a downer; the interviewer didn't turn on their video for the whole half hour, which made it tough to connect, especially since they were a bit late, took a call during the interview, and sounded really robotic. I just felt like they weren't engaged, which was a big disappointment given how great the other interviews with Trepp were.

I applied through LinkedIn and after a few weeks, I was asked by the marketing manager for my availability for a call. Since the manager was in the US, scheduling was a bit tricky. Despite some tech issues, the call went well. A few hours later, I got an email saying they were happy with how it went and wanted to move me to the next step, which was a written assessment. I agreed and got the assessment a few days later. They said I'd have 2.5 hours, but since they sent it 30 minutes late, I only had 2 hours. I finished and sent it back on time. Then they emailed saying they wanted to give all candidates a fair shot and would continue their process, with an update expected the following Wednesday. Wednesday passed with no word, so I decided to pull my application. I never got feedback and since it's my first time applying to Trepp, I don't think I'll apply again.
