Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TrendSource.
Field Services Coordinator
It started with a phone interview, then a first interview, and then a second interview. The process was pretty standard. The people were nice. The office was easy to get to. It took about two weeks in total.
- Can you describe a situation where you faced numerous deadlines and explain your approach to managing them?

Applied online and got a phone interview. Then had a first in-person interview with a short test on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. That interview went well with basic questions from two department people. The final in-person interview was a waste of time and showed the disorganization. I got to the interview and the secretary tried to give me the Microsoft test I already took. She seemed confused and didn't believe me. Two women interviewed me, one was just visiting from the west coast and decided to sit in. She said I looked nervous because I was sitting up straight and suggested I slouch or I would 'blow this amazing opportunity.' She made the interview awkward. They sent a rejection email, which I'm thankful for now. It was a blessing in disguise. They seemed fake and bragged about playing corn hole in the office, but the vibes were cold and the employees looked suicidal.
- What actions would you take if a field agent consistently submitted subpar reports?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
- Can you recall a time when you missed a deadline?
Inspection Strategist/Project Coordinator
I got an email to come in for an exam. An employee supervised me through it. They asked me to write an email and show how to compose one in Outlook, plus demonstrate basic Microsoft Word functions. The 'exam' was to test my skills with different platforms. Then I had a second interview with two employees, followed by a third interview with the head of Onsite Inspections and a manager. The first two interviews were in the same week, and the last one was the next week. They were super fast and wanted to hire quickly. I had my third interview on a Monday, a drug test on Tuesday, and started on Thursday.
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?
- Can you share some information about yourself?
