I was reached out to on LinkedIn about a Programmatic Trader role. The recruiter and I had a good talk, and then I was scheduled to speak with the hiring manager. That interview also went well, and they even went over Tremor Video's expectations in more detail, extending the conversation. I followed up with the recruiter to express my continued interest, but never heard back. Eventually, over a week later, I got an automated rejection email.

the interview didn't include coding which was surprising to me. it was more about talking about software engineering and solving architecture questions on the whiteboard. they ask a lot of questions about how to make good software so it's hard to prepare.

I first talked to Annie, the recruiter. She was great. I was unsure at first since I don't know anything about pricing. The next interview was a phone call with the hiring manager. She seemed disengaged. After our chat, I realized this role needs someone with a finance or accounting background. When I asked her what kept her at the company, she sounded unenthusiastic. Overall, it's important to understand the hiring manager's vibe. If they don't seem happy there, you likely won't be either.

The interview process was straightforward. First, I had a chat with a recruiter who was helpful and provided good info about the role after discussing my background. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager via phone, and we talked about my experience and how my technical skills align with the job. Lastly, I had several in-person interviews with the team, some on-site and some via Skype. Everyone I met seemed to enjoy working there and had a positive vibe.
