Software Engineer
So there were 4 rounds total. First, a written test with basic Java questions. Then, an initial chat about all the tech I've used, like Java, RESTful Webservices, JavaScript, Html5, Spring Hibernate, and so on. After that, a manager round where I had to really dig into all my past projects. Finally, a director round where they presented some scenarios to see how I'd tackle problems. The cool part was they offered more than I asked for! But then, a week after getting the offer letter, they called saying there were 'strategic changes' and the role was canceled. So, don't quit your job if you get an offer from TREDENCE analytics. And the funniest part? Two weeks after revoking the offer, they called again to see if I was still available.
- How can one make an input field mandatory in HTML5?
- Can you elaborate on your experience with technologies such as Java, RESTful Webservices, JavaScript, Html5, Spring Hibernate?
- Please provide a thorough explanation of the projects you have worked on.
Software Engineer
So first there was an online test on Hacker-earth that lasted for 2 hours. It had 20 MCQs and 3 coding questions. The coding questions were about math, tree, and arrays, and the MCQs were on SQL, oops, and pseudo codes. I managed to solve all the coding questions. A day later, the results came out, and I was among the 20 students who got shortlisted. The next round was a technical interview scheduled two days after the results. The interviewer was really nice.
- Given a string 'S', determine if it's a palindrome, considering only alphanumeric characters and ignoring case and symbols.
- Can you solve this problem related to SQL?
- Explain this concept related to Object-Oriented Programming.
Software Development Engineer Intern
So there were three rounds, two technical and then one HR. The technical rounds covered OOPS, computer networks, and DBMS, and they wanted to know if I had practical knowledge. In the second technical round, they asked me to share my screen, open my project, and explain some lines of code, specifically the authentication part.
- Which operating systems have you used?
- Can you describe the backend processes when MS Paint is opened?
- Could you explain polymorphism and its different types with a code example?
