Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Treasury Wine Estates.
Director
It was a great experience - I learned a lot about what the company is focused on and the perks of working at Treasury Wine Estates. I got to chat with a few people in the company and hear their thoughts on the work environment.
- Can you walk me through your background?
Director
The interview process was very unprofessional. I received no feedback or follow-up after the interview, and my inquiries about the role afterward were ignored. It didn't seem like the company was invested in getting to know candidates during their interview process.
- Can you summarize your experiences that are relevant to this role?
Director
This was a long, drawn-out process of 4 months and eventually I got an offer. However, when I tried to negotiate the offer, they rescinded it. They offered me a salary and bonus that were below market rate for a Director position. The recruiters were difficult to work with - combative, defensive, condescending, and unprofessional. If this company wants to attract top talent, they need to offer competitive compensation. Smart candidates will always negotiate their offers, so companies should expect it.
- What is your interest in Treasury?
- What attracts you to the wine industry?
