First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trax Retail.
Software Engineer
I had a 30-minute phone chat with a team member. She started by telling me about the company and what the team does. Then, she asked me to talk a bit about myself, my background, and my experience. The interview ended with 10-15 minutes of technical questions, all over the phone.
- If you were to build a checkout for an online shop, what would be the key components, like Customer, Item, Payment?
- How would these components connect to each other?
- What would be your approach to designing this kind of application?
Operations Service Manager
The interview process was great, with interviewers who were well-prepared and focused on specific areas of the role. It involved three rounds on Zoom, and each one felt valuable for both me and the interviewers. The vibe was polite and friendly, and the questions were relevant and showed they understood the job well. Even the casual chat was nice, making it a positive experience overall.
- Could you describe your experience managing client relationships in past positions?
Product Manager
The process was SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I was even wondering if this company is a scam or not at some point. The process was super long. Hiring manager scheduled 30 mins call and ended up doing an hour and a half. He was so unprofessional and did not respect my time. Then, he gave me a case study which literally asking for a proposal for their current product. It was about 5 rounds of interview with case study for very low salary, which was very exhausting. Also, they literally stole my idea that they added the exact same feature I suggested. This company is disastrous.

HR Specialist
We started with some emails, then a recruiter call that lasted about 30 minutes. After that, there was a video interview with the HR Manager for about an hour, and then another video interview with the hiring manager, also for about an hour. I was able to ask them questions about the role and the team. The questions they asked focused on my hard and soft skills and the day-to-day tasks of the role.
