First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TravisMathew.
Assistant Store Manager
I met with the Store Manager at the store first. Then I had a second interview with another Store Manager over Teams. The final interview was with the District Manager on Teams a week later. They offered me a rate and asked me to think about it. Later that day, they asked for a little more, and then I was ghosted.

Product Developer
So I had 3 zoom interviews and then a week later they offered me the job. The whole process took about 4-5 weeks. I originally applied for one category, but after my first interview, they let me know that the position was filled internally. However, they wanted to consider me for a different category.

- What skills did you learn in school?
ECommerce Manager
The job description and initial phone call with the hiring manager didn't match the actual onsite interview, which felt like a bait-and-switch. During the onsite, the hiring manager and his boss were present. The boss asked for my opinion on the website, and I gave an honest assessment, highlighting areas for improvement. Unfortunately, this seemed to negatively impact the perception of the role, as the scope progressively narrowed down to essentially providing tech support for the eCom platform. I mentioned this observation, which apparently didn't help. The interview concluded with a vague 'we'll let you know.' Three days later, upon inquiry, the hiring manager informed me that someone else had already been hired, despite the position being open for over three months. While I understand personality clashes or sensitivities exist, this felt like a complete waste of my time, especially after investing 8 hours in preparation and 4 hours on the interview day. The entire experience felt dishonest and disrespectful on the part of the hiring manager.
- What kind of feedback did they seem resistant to hearing?
- What were the topics or opinions that the interviewers appeared unwilling to acknowledge or discuss?
