The company had poor communication and wasted my time. I was asked to travel for an hour and 30 minutes for the third interview. When I arrived, the interviewer had to leave, and someone else was supposed to interview me. The recruitment team was unaware of this change. I asked if other candidates were interviewed by the original person and received no response. Overall, I felt I was treated badly. My advice is not to make candidates go through hoops for nothing.

They reached out to me for a call, ignored a few of my emails with suggestions of suitable times. Finally arranged a brief informal telephone chat with their internal recruiter then I heard nothing back- no kind of follow up or rejection, or even a response to an email. I was completely ghosted for my efforts. The job advert has since closed. Poor form from a company trying to drive the transformation of its tech team and to treat senior candidates in such a disposable way is a massive red flag and sad to witness from a household name.

A TP recruiter reached out to me about a role I might like. I got through to a second-round interview. The interviewer for the second round didn't seem aware that I'd been contacted by TP, as she asked me why I wanted to join the company. Honestly, I'm not sure if I want to work for a company that approached me first, especially since interviews are a two-way street. She also asked several questions that had already been covered in the phone and first interviews. While a few repeated questions to get more detail are expected, this felt like my previous answers weren't even reviewed or discussed. I wasn't feeling good about it at this point. I didn't think I did well in the interview, so I wouldn't have been shocked to get rejected. What surprised me was having to wait two weeks for a response. I sent a polite message asking for any feedback from my recent interview, mentioning I hadn't heard anything and suspected I wasn't who they were looking for. More silence followed. I never heard back from them. This happened about two months ago. It's a shame to treat candidates this way. I had taken time out of my schedule three times for a phone call, a first interview, and a second interview. It's probably for the best, but I wouldn't consider future openings with TP after this, nor would I recommend them based on this experience. In contrast, I often recommend companies that provide a great candidate experience, regardless of whether I get the job.

It was a very defined interview process and they responded quickly. They asked a lot of questions, but the hiring manager made me feel very comfortable and gave me feedback on how to improve. Overall, it was a good experience and I learned a lot, which will help me prepare better for future interviews. The first interview was with a recruiter over the phone, and then I had a face-to-face meeting with the hiring manager.
