The interview process involved 3 rounds. It started with a phone call, followed by an in-office interview that had a technical question. Then, I had a timed written assignment. The final stage was a phone interview with my future manager, after which I received the offer. The entire process took about 3 weeks and felt challenging but manageable.

They asked a lot of questions about travel and some to check your morals. You should know about the competition like Groupon, LivingSocial, Expedia, etc. The bosses love to ask things like how much Starbucks makes or how many stoplights are in the US. Most people don't know the answer and you don't need to know it either. What you need to know is how to answer it. They will give you paper and expect you to work out your answer. The main point is to see how you think. One recruiter hated these questions because she'd find a really gifted person but couldn't hire them if they answered these incorrectly.

I applied online for the Associate Producer job. My first interview was a phone call, and I also had to send in writing samples. After the phone interview, I did a writing test. Then I got another call for an in-person interview and met with the team. The in-person interview was on Halloween, which was fun because people were in costumes and the office felt lively. I felt pretty comfortable with the team and the hiring manager. The hiring manager asked about my travel experiences and my ability to find travel deals. She also asked me to estimate Starbucks' annual revenue as a way to gauge my problem-solving skills. I felt a bit out of my depth during the interview because I hadn't traveled abroad much in college, and it seemed like travel experience was really important for the role. The office itself is very open with lots of natural light, which was nice and seemed to encourage teamwork, unlike a typical cubicle office. I interviewed on a Friday and heard back the following Tuesday with a form rejection email. It sounded like they had already decided on someone else before I even interviewed. I sent a follow-up email thanking them and asking a question, but I never got a response, even though the email said to reach out with questions. If you're applying here, make sure you have international travel experience, as I think that was a major factor in why I didn't get the job.
