Customer Success Manager
The interview process seemed straightforward yet messy. I first had a chat with HR, and then a week later, I had a second round with a team member. It went pretty well, and I felt my experience was a good match. But a week after that, I got an automated rejection email with no explanation, and I wasn't even considered for the next stage.
- What steps would you take when a customer is unhappy?
Software Support Specialist
I applied online and about a week later, I got an update on my application. After my first interview with the recruiter, it took more than two weeks to hear back that I was moving on to the hiring manager interview. A week after that, I had the final panel interview. I felt it went really well and they even said my background was a big plus for the job. But even so, I didn't hear anything for a while. I had to follow up to find out I didn't get the job. The whole thing took over a month from applying to the final interview, with long waits in between. While I get that they need to evaluate things, this long of a process without updates can be stressful. A smoother process and faster communication would be better for candidates.
- Can you tell us about your experience?
Offer Rescinded
I applied and went through interviews with 3 people, including a VP. They gave me a verbal offer on Tuesday, but then on Friday HR called to say they were rescinding it because they didn't like my resume's progression. When they offered the job, they asked if I could start the next Monday. I questioned this, as I had already completed the interviews and discussed my resume multiple times. I asked for more feedback, but they just brushed me off, saying they didn't like my resume's path and wished me well. It felt like the resume wasn't the real issue, and they wouldn't give the actual reason for rescinding the offer. So, they revoked the offer and lacked dependability, transparency, genuineness, and authenticity.
- What's your approach when dealing with people who are resistant to adopting agile practices?
Director of Product
I wanted to share a really good interview experience I had with TravelNet, hoping it might help balance out some of the less positive reviews. The HR person was super easy to chat with and was really upfront about the company, the job, and her own time there. She was honest about why she likes working at TravelNet and gave some good thoughts on the team and company vibe, which made it feel like a real chat, not just a Q&A. It felt more like we were both exploring the opportunity together rather than me being grilled. I also liked that they were clear about the timeline. She mentioned it might take a couple of weeks to hear back because of a customer meeting, which they told me straight up and nicely. All in all, it was one of the best interview processes I've been through and gave me a great feeling about the job and the company.
